Profile: LuAnn M Surgery: Post Op Greentown, PA, USA Personal Comments I have been overweight all my life and I am so excited about starting my new life! I am approved for surgery on July 1, 2003! Anyone who wants to write me, please do! I would love to hear from you! 6/7/03 I am so excited about my surgery! I am meeting with the nutritionist on the 9th of June and getting my blood work done the 17th, 18th I am doing the pre-admission testing and on the 30th of June I go to my PCP for clearance! Please keep me in your prayers. 6/17/03 2 weeks left! I am psyched now! Things are getting done and I am just waiting patiently for my turn. I will write again as it gets closer. 6/26/03 OH BOY! 5 days left! now things are moving along. I just wish I could explain the kind of excitement I am feeling! I am not nervous. (not yet anyway) I know that God will watch over me and keep me safe. I feel very optimistic. I will write again in a few days! God bless to all! 6/30/03 Well, tomorrow is my big day and I am ready! I know that I would not have made it without you! Thanks so much! 7/5/03 I AM HOME! surgery is over and went well. I was released from the hospital on July 4th and I feel good. I have no complaints to speak of. The surgery is hard but I am feeling positive which I think is keeping me very uplifted. I will write again later. 7/9/03 Hi Everyone!!! I am feeling absolutely fantastic! since my surgery July 1st....I have lost 12.5 lbs! (according to my scale.) Hey, this is great news for me! I am on my way to a brand new me. I am getting my staples out and a tube out on the 10th. I will write again after I get back and give you an official weight loss reading! OHH Happy Day! 7/29/03 Well, I am 3 weeks Post-Op. according to my scale I have lost 32 lbs. I just can not believe that I am doing this well. I feel fantastic! I have to tell myself to eat half the time. I just do not feel hungry. I got the staples and the last tube out and all went well. I am just taking it day by day! I go back to the doctors on the 7th of August and I hope that all looks good. 12/30/03 Hello to everyone! I am so sorry that I have not written. I have been so busy with this new weight loss! I feel great and I have so much energy. It is just so unbelieveable. I encourage everyone who is pursuing this to keep the faith. I am 85.5 lbs lighter, according to my scale and people tell me I look like a totally different person. I thank GOD for all that has happened to me. 6/16/04 Hello everyone! I am sorry that it has taken me all this time to write back and tell you of my success. I have been enjoying my weight loss tremendously! I feel like a whole new person! I have been so much more active and occassionally never find time just for myself. This has truly changed my life and I really feel for the first time in my life that I have made the right choice to better myself with this life-saving procedure. According to my scale, to this date I am 101 lbs lighter! The day I got home from the hospital the scale read 235 lbs. and my scale today reads 134 lbs. I thank God everyday for family, friends, Dr. Peters and Robbie. I have learned to love life to the fullest! 10/28/04 Hello Everyone! It has been a long time since I have written and I am feeling great! I am 1 year and 3 months post op and I have lost 107 lbs. I have just about hit the max that I have wanted to lose. I feel totally new! My diabetes is normal, blood pressure is normal and instead of being 40 years old, I feel 20! I thank God for my family and friends who have stuck by me and for Dr. Peters and Robbie for making me the happiest, healthiest that I can possibly be! 235 lbs 85 pounds lighter Surgeon Info: William S.
